What's the role?

We are seeking an Account Manager to join the growing and thriving Hilti team, ensuring we can give the best possible service to our customers and the industry. There is no better time to join us!

We are looking for a Account Manager to join our team covering Belfast, North Derry and Antrim and actively welcome applications from local candidates and candidates willing to relocate to the area. We don’t expect you to be construction expert...but you will be once you’ve graduated from our award-winning training course. For this reason, we invite candidates from all industries to join our Globally recognised team to begin a career where your development is always our number one priority.

Who is Hilti?

Hilti is where innovation is improving productivity, safety and sustainability in the global construction industry, and beyond. Where strong customer relationships are creating solutions that build a better future. Where there is pride and a sense of belonging across our 120 locations, carrying right into our lives and homes. Where people are exploring possibilities, leveraging their potential, owning their personal development and growing lasting careers.

What does the role involve?

At Hilti, we work a little differently. We have a direct sales model which allows us to ensure a high-level customer interaction at every encounter. We love our customers! The Account Management role is strategic account development focussed, partnering with existing customers ensuring the Hilti product basket is optimised. This is no ordinary sales or business development manager job; we don't believe in a hard sell because our strong core values allow us to focus purely on building long-term sustainable relationships with our customers.

The Account Management role is very autonomous, your red Hilti van will be your office and you will plan, organise and prioritise your time to ensure effectiveness within your territory. We partner with our customers to understand their business needs and how our products can add value.

The purpose of the role is to create value in the allocated account's portfolio through effective design and implementation of individual account strategies to build long term, sustainable and profitable relationships with the customer. The role involves professional field sales and high level customer consultation in the defined territory within the target industry.

93% of our people say they’re proud to work for Hilti, thanks to the quality of our products and the way we look after our people

What do we offer?

At Hilti, it’s all about teamwork. We have an award-winning culture that is highly diverse and inclusive. We love to celebrate success and as part of the Hilti family you will be proud to work for an industry leading innovator.

Your new role will be rewarding and challenging, and you will be given the support of your leader, your peers and Hilti to ensure you succeed. Within your first 3 months you will have 4 weeks (non-consecutive) training from our state-of-the-art hub in Manchester (currently head digitally). This will include training on the Hilti approach, process and product training. The training doesn’t stop there! We have huge amounts of training available to continually grow and develop (including modules created in partnership with Ivy League Universities).

You will also enjoy:
→ A fully maintained van, with fuel card and toll pass
→ 25 days holidays (not including bank holidays)
→ A scheme to purchase 10 extra days of leave each year
→ Competitive remuneration with huge bonus potential
→ Health insurance, pension
→ Giving back! With 2 paid volunteering days each year
→ Loan tools, discounts

What you need is:

  • Curiosity; listening to hear with customers to provide aligned solutions
  • Drive; a motivated approach to achieving success
  • Collaborative approach; you work great as part of a team to uncover creative solutions
  • More curiosity; you love to learn, develop and grow
  • Full working rights in Northern Ireland
  • A full, clean manual driver’s license

Who should apply?

We have an excellent mix of people and some of our best account managers joined us with no experience. So, if you’ve never worked in sales or construction, that’s fine with us. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background.

Please DO NOT apply for multiple roles - the team will assign you where your skills are the best fit.

Click through the 'Apply Now' button where you will be asked to upload your CV and answer a couple of short questions – the whole process should take around 90 seconds.

**SALES ONLY**

If you meet the requirements of the role you'll be invited to complete a fun online assessment and a short pre-recorded video interview - please look out for this in your junk mail as it can end up there!

If you need any support with your application please contact gbcareers@hilti.com.

Once you're in the formal process, there are three stages – a first interview with a Regional Manager, a day-in-the-life 'field ride' to give you a real feel for the job and a final interview with a Sales Director. We'll also pay your expenses if you have to travel to meet us.

If we don't have a suitable role for you at the moment, we will keep you in our talent pool for the future so your recruitment process might take a bit longer but we'll be sure to stay in touch.

Hilti is where your best belongs. We are an equal opportunity employer and value the contributions of all our team members regardless of sex, gender identity/expression, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion or family status.
